the ISO ﬁle, you will be able to create an installation medium,

using an appropriate burning program.

If you have a ZIP ﬁle, you have individual ﬁles and folders at

your disposal for the installation. If you want to write a CD

with this data, then you must open the ZIP ﬁle. In this, you

will typically ﬁnd two ﬁles and three folders. You should copy

these 1:1 to your CD and burn them as a UDF CD. If the CD is

burned in ISO format, Bogart SE/RV will not recognize this CD

and the products will not be listed.

USB preparation:

If you want to write a USB stick with this data, you must open

the ZIP ﬁle. You will typically ﬁnd two ﬁles and three folders

in this ﬁle. Please copy these 1:1 to your USB stick, directly

on the lowest level. Please insert this USB stick in your device

before you open ‘Product installation’. If necessary, you must

open the installation menu again, until the product or the

products are listed. If you insert the USB stick while you are

in Product installation, the product listing will not be updated

(however, this is going to change in a future version of

Bogart SE).

2.4.2 The Basic, Silver, and Gold Editions

From version 4.2 onwards, the functionality of the Bogart

SE software has been reorganized. The ‘Pro Pack’ has now

become the ‘Gold Edition’. Users and buyers of a Casablanca

S-6000 as well as all owners of the Pro Pack will automatically

get the Gold Edition with Bogart SE 4.2.

Customers without the Pro Pack will get the Silver Edition

when they update to Bogart SE 4.2. This is also part of the

standard equipment of the Casablanca S-3000 from now on.

Note: If you do not have the Pro Pack, you should verify before

updating to version 4.2 which functionality differences there

will be in comparison to your previous version. The Silver Edi-

tion includes functions that were part of the former Pro Pack.

However, some functions will also experience functionality

reductions.

Since the functionality and therefore also the complexity of the

SmartEdit, and later the Bogart SE software has continuously

increased over the years, a restructuring had become neces-

sary. A lot of new users and occasional ﬁlmmakers, but also

professional users have been overwhelmed or hindered in their

work by the extensive possibilities of the software

The new ‘Gold Edition’ has signiﬁcantly more functionality than

the current Pro Pack. Besides the Gold Edition, there is now

also a Silver Edition, which makes it possible to better split up

the range of functions. The Gold Edition contains all functions

of the Silver Edition.

The changes also affect the new versions of the Arabesk

Software – there will be clear differences in its functionality

depending on whether you are using the Silver or the Gold

Edition.

Bogart SE without activated editions is the basic version.

The edition which is active in the Bogart SE system is dis-

played in the top left corner of the main menu, below ‘Bogart

SE’. This way, you will always be able to ﬁnd out which edition

is currently active in your system.

The differences between the different editions can be seen

in the following list. In the rest of the manual we will also talk

about the editions when necessary. This will be indicated with

the following symbol:

Silver Edition

Gold Edition

One of these symbols indicates that the function is in part or

completely only available in the editions indicated.

Whenever you see an

, this indicates that the function is also

available in the Gold Edition.

• Automatic splitting of recorded footing into individual

scenes

• Recording options: time, photo, time-lapse, stop motion

• Preview when importing AVCHD footage
